StudyNotes
A hybrid note app for iPad that combines handwriting and typed notes
An iPad app that keeps Apple Pencil handwriting and typed notes in the same notebook. Notes sync across devices through an ASP.NET Core API self-hosted with Docker and Caddy, with authentication over Sign in with Apple. The AI features run entirely server-side so no key ships with the client, and they only activate after explicit user consent.
Highlights
- 01Handwriting with PencilKit alongside rich text in the same document
- 02Sync over an ASP.NET Core API, with Sign in with Apple and account deletion
- 03Home-screen widget and a shared data layer through App Groups
- 04Consent-gated AI features running entirely on the server
